We’ll be setting up Bitcoin Grove for a film screening of My Trust in You Is Broken!
The documentary tells the origin of BTCPay Server, created by Nicolas Dorier, which was a reaction against BitPay’s direction in the Bitcoin Block Size Wars and their support for SegWit2x. The documentary chronicles the conflicted beginnings of Bitcoin as a payments system and emphasizes Dorier’s pivotal role in contributing to Bitcoin merchant adoption.
The platform is free, open-source and enables merchants to directly accept Bitcoin, achieving independence from intermediaries. The documentary also underscores the perils of trusted third parties.
