This month’s Sydney Bitcoin Eastern Suburbs Meetup will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at the Coogee Legion Club.
This is a casual, unstructured social meetup: grab a pint and some food, sit together and chat bitcoin. There are no speakers or presentations (the main Bitcoin Sydney meetups cover those), which makes it an excellent place to learn about what bitcoin is, and isn’t.
We’ll have experienced Bitcoiners attending to answer questions you might have and who can guide you through the basics of setting up a bitcoin wallet, making payments, or setting up your business to accept bitcoin payments.
Attendees are welcome to cover topics such as:
- What bitcoin is and isn’t
- Why Bitcoin Exists
- How Bitcoin Supports Human Rights Efforts
- How to Secure Bitcoin / ‘Cold Storage’
- How to Accept Bitcoin as a Merchant / Retailer
- Setting up a Self-managed Superannuation Fund
- Grassroots Adoption / Circular Economies
- Running a Node
Third Wednesday of every month, from 6pm.
