At the December meetup, Cincinnati Bitcoiners are getting into the Lightning network, with a demo of Polar, which allows you to build a miniature test Lightning network right on your machine.
Use it to learn how channels are opened and closed, and how payments are routed in an interactive and visual environment. Polar uses regtest, so all the Bitcoin you are transferring is fake so you can test without fear of making a mistake!
No prior knowledge required—this is a beginner-friendly event designed to answer your questions and help you feel confident navigating the Bitcoin landscape.
