OK Bitcoin Kelowna returns to Yamas Taverna on October 20 to talk about bitcoin privacy for normal people. No tinfoil hat required.
Privacy Is a Counterparty Too
Every time you buy bitcoin, someone learns something about you. The exchange knows your name. The blockchain remembers every transaction forever. Every company holding your data is one more place it can leak from.
Adam O’Brien will give a 20-minute talk:
• Why privacy isn’t about hiding
• Why bitcoin is not as anonymous as you think
• The Counterparty Ladder: who stands between you and your bitcoin
• Five simple habits you can start this week
Then open Q&A. Bring your questions, including the ones you think are dumb.
