Hackalajara 2.0 is a one day Bitcoin and Lightning hackathon bringing developers, founders, designers, and curious builders together in Guadalajara on August 20, 2026.
Part of the PlebLab Startup Day, the event will feature practical workshops led by experienced open source Bitcoin developers, hands on building sessions, mentorship, and prizes for teams creating useful tools around payments, Lightning, privacy, and local Bitcoin adoption.
Participants can arrive with an existing idea, join a team at the event, or start something completely new. The focus is not on polished presentations, but on learning, experimenting, shipping working projects, and meeting other serious builders from across Mexico and Latin America.
Selected teams will also have the opportunity to present their projects the following day at Startup Day Guadalajara.
Speakers
Featured speakers include Super Testnet, Moritz Kaminski, Co-founder of Alby, and Justin from ShockNet. Hackalajara 2.0 will be judged by Car from PlebLab and Carlos Chida, with additional mentors and judges to be announced as the event gets closer.
