So it should come as no surprise that Prague hosted the first-ever Bitcoin conference in the world, all the way back in 2011. That foundational event, small but mighty, planted the seeds for a community that would grow into something historic.

Fast-forward to today, and BTC Prague is no longer a grassroots experiment—it’s a global phenomenon, gathering thousands of attendees from every corner of the world. In 2023, over 6,500 Bitcoiners made their way to Prague. In 2024, that number grew to over 7,500.
In 2025, the bar is being raised once again as the Czech capital will again welcome Bitcoiners from around the world for BTC Prague, now firmly established as Europe’s largest and most focused Bitcoin-only event. Over the course of three days, the conference will bring together thought leaders, builders, educators, and newcomers alike to examine where Bitcoin stands today, where it’s going, and what role each of us might play in that future.
Bitcoin-Only, By Design
In a space crowded with “crypto” expos, blockchain festivals, and Web3 buzzwords, BTC Prague has carved out a distinct identity by being deliberately narrow in scope. This is a Bitcoin-only event—not an anti-crypto stance, but rather a commitment to clarity. By focusing solely on Bitcoin, the conference offers a rare opportunity to go deeper, rather than broader.
The result is an environment that attracts a wide spectrum of participants—from cypherpunks and technical developers to institutional thinkers, macroeconomists, educators, and entrepreneurs. What unites them is a shared interest in Bitcoin not merely as an asset, but as an evolving tool for monetary independence, individual sovereignty, and systemic reform.
A Grassroots Idea with Global Reach
BTC Prague didn’t emerge overnight. Its roots can be traced back to ChainCamp, a Czech-Slovak Bitcoin conference launched by brothers Martin and Matyáš Kuchař in 2020. What began with a few hundred local attendees quickly grew into one of the world’s largest non-English Bitcoin gatherings.
Encouraged by this momentum, the brothers expanded their vision. In 2023, BTC Prague hosted its first edition, drawing over 6,500 people from more than 50 countries. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, praising not just the caliber of the speakers, but the atmosphere of genuine community and depth. By 2024, that number had surpassed 7,500, solidifying the event’s place on the global Bitcoin calendar.
This year’s event promises to build on that foundation, offering not just a larger program but a more refined one. With multiple stages, dedicated lounges, side events, and curated sessions, BTC Prague 2025 is designed to be as immersive as it is informative.
BTC Prague 2025 – What’s On the Agenda?
BTC Prague is known for its ability to attract influential speakers, and 2025 is no exception. While the full program continues to unfold, the confirmed lineup already includes names that will be familiar to anyone following Bitcoin’s trajectory.
Among them are Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy; Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3; Lawrence Lepard, the author of The Big Print; Peter Todd, long-time Bitcoin Core developer; and Knut Svanholm, author and philosopher. Additional speakers represent a balance of technical, philosophical, economic, and institutional perspectives, reflecting the many facets of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
