Bitcoin++ Nairobi takes place June 17–20, 2026, at Pride Inn Azure in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the first-ever open source edition of the bitcoin++ conference series. Over four days, the event brings together open source builders and developers from Africa and around the globe for an immersive exploration of Bitcoin development and open protocol contribution.
Organized in partnership with a local team, the edition places a spotlight on the power of decentralized, open source systems — and on the developers who build them in public. Bitcoin++ Nairobi examines how contributions to Bitcoin’s global protocols are reshaping the developer ecosystem across Africa and beyond.
The four-day program is centered on building and working in public, celebrating the open source ethos that underpins Bitcoin as a global, decentralized monetary protocol.
