Bitcoin Gold Coast Meetup returns on Tuesday, May 19th, this time taking over the RQ’s Tavern in Robina QLD for a friendly and Bitcoin-focused gathering.
A message from Grug, the organiser:
I had planned a lengthy presentation on MSTR and why, due to the Ponzi-like nature of STRC, they’re eventually going to have to sell some BTC. My concern was not with those future sales, but how Strategy break that news and how the market reacts was going to be interesting. However, Saylor stole my thunder on the earnings call this week, so that no longer needs to be a big focus.
If there are any presentations from Vegas that anyone wants to discuss, please let the rest of us know ASAP, and I will endeavour to watch them beforehand.
Finally, the Gold Coast group is going through some minor changes at the moment with a couple of long-term admins stepping away from the role, along with a forced change of venue. As such, we will also discuss what other changes we may make to the group, so if you’re keen to have a say on that, we will see you there. The main example for myself is whether our current meeting time on the third Tuesday of the month is still the best one given the regular meetings at Northern Rivers and Brisbane are not what they were when the original decision was made, and some crazy people are regulars at all of them.
