This month we’ll be having Santiago and Ben from Lightspark will give a presentation about their new bitcoin layer 2 technology, Spark (https://www.spark.money/). Recently Spark has made headlines where companies like Breez, and Wallet of Satoshi have begun building on the spark protocol.

Socratic Seminar
The Socratic Seminar events are formatted to foster debate, information sharing, and lively discussion.
Discussion topics from a variety of sources are collated by meetup members in the weeks preceding the events. We investigate pull requests in the Bitcoin Core, lnd, and other relevant repositories; we study network statistics, research papers, technical blog posts and other interesting content. To complete the meeting, members present open source projects, companies, research and other relevant materials. A feedback and Q&A section follow.

The discussion portion of the event is NEVER recorded. It is recommended that you have a firm grasp of the basics of Bitcoin in order to extract the most value from our Socratic events.
Parking:
Street parking is available on nearby streets (Ohio, Wellesley, Carmelina). Please read the signage carefully. Ohio: allows for all day parking Monday through Wednesday. On Thursdays and Fridays there is street cleaning from 12:00 – 3:00 on alternate sides of the street. There is ticketing for cars parked on the designated street cleaning streets. Wellesley and Carmelina: There are 2-hour parking signs Underground parking: The daily fee for parking is $20.00 Monday through Friday. After hours: to exit, closely approach a garage door gate and it will automatically open.
