The Halifax Bitcoin Meetup returns for another engaging monthly gathering on August 6th, welcoming people from all backgrounds and experience levels.
This month, the group will have an informal discussion about Bitcoin forks—what they are, why they matter, and how to avoid potential risks if a chain split occurs.
No technical background is needed. Whether you’re new to Bitcoin or have been involved for years, everyone is welcome to join the conversation and ask questions.

✨ Held on the first Thursday of each month, the Halifax Bitcoin Meetup provides a consistent space for learning, idea exchange, and meaningful conversation. There will be presentations on different aspects of Bitcoin, the odd workshop where we can get hands-on experience, as well as social gatherings. It’s a place where newcomers and long-time Bitcoiners come together to build knowledge, strengthen connections, and support the growth of the local Bitcoin community.
