PubKey NYC hosts an in-depth conversation with two builders operating at the frontlines of Bitcoin adoption and privacy tooling. As digital surveillance expands and centralized platforms consolidate power, Bitcoin’s community must evolve — not just in size, but in resilience, self-sovereignty, and privacy standards.
This program will explore how we scale grassroots Bitcoin communities while preserving the principles that made the movement powerful in the first place.
Bitcoin adoption without privacy erodes long-term sovereignty. Community growth without principled infrastructure leads to fragility. This event confronts both realities directly — and equips attendees with clarity and tools to build stronger, more private systems.
Core Themes:
- Community Infrastructure: What it takes to build durable, local-first Bitcoin ecosystems.
- Privacy as a Foundation: Why privacy is not optional — and how tools like federated custody and next-gen wallets are raising the bar.
- Funding the Builders: The role of mission-aligned capital in advancing open-source development.
- Practical Adoption: How everyday users can meaningfully upgrade their privacy posture today.
