Tampa Bay Bitcoin hosts a Fedi Workshop that dives deep into the future of decentralized finance and community-powered technology. Participants will explore the Fedi app and discover how underlying protocols work together to create a truly private and empowering financial ecosystem.
The workshop unpacks Fedimint as a protocol for federated eCash and its critical role in Bitcoin’s long-term adoption. Attendees will learn the distinction between communities and federations, plus gain practical knowledge on launching their own. The session showcases groundbreaking features including Stable Balance, Multispend, and Social Recovery that set Fedi apart from traditional financial tools.
Participants will also examine Mini Apps and their function in making Fedi fully extensible. Built on open protocols like Bitcoin, Lightning, Fedimint, Nostr, and Matrix, Fedi represents the world’s first decentralized, private super app. Through independent federations, the platform enables people to exchange value and information securely within their communities while safeguarding privacy and autonomy.
