On Wednesday, December 3, 2025 join the Bitcoin Surrey Meetup in Farnham for a special fireside chat with James Dewar who’s teaching the Bitcoin Diploma at the Sir John Lawes School.
The Mi Primer Bitcoin / My First Bitcoin Diploma is a globally recognised, open-source financial education programme designed to prepare students for the evolving digital economy.
The course helps to develop students’ financial literacy rooted in history, economics, and technology; equip students with knowledge of digital responsibility, privacy, and cyber-security; encourage independent thinking about global financial systems; and offer a rare chance to learn directly from a leading expert in the field.
One of the teachers facilitating this at the Sir John Lawes School, along with the teacher from the Wilmington Grammar School in Kent who was the 1st teacher and the 1st school in the UK to teach the Bitcoin Diploma, will also be attending.
