MiBTC Legislative Day of Action brings participants together at the headquarters of the Michigan Bitcoin Trade Council for a coordinated effort to engage directly with Michigan lawmakers.
Participants will break into small groups to engage directly with state representatives and state senators (or their staff) to discuss Bitcoin, sound policy, and the importance of keeping Michigan open to innovation.
What legislative meetings look like:
These are professional, respectful conversations focused on education and advocacy. We introduce MiBTC, explain what Bitcoin is (and isn’t), and outline clear, Michigan-specific policy priorities—protecting consumers, supporting local businesses, and ensuring innovation isn’t driven out of the state. No prior experience required—we’ll guide the process.
4:00 PM — Official Lansing Chamber Ribbon Cutting
Return to MiBTC Headquarters for our official Lansing Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, followed by light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. This marks a major milestone for MiBTC’s presence in Lansing and our continued work at the state level.
Why it matters:
Policy is shaped by those who show up. This is your opportunity to help influence Michigan’s Bitcoin future—and celebrate a big step forward for the Bitcoin community in our state.
