Join us for the return of the BitDevs NYC Socratic Seminar at Chaincode Labs—a forum dedicated to fostering robust debate, in-depth information sharing, and lively discussions around Bitcoin. Our events are designed to create an environment where ideas flow freely and every participant contributes to the evolution of Bitcoin knowledge.
In the weeks leading up to the seminar, our engaged community curates discussion topics from a diverse array of sources. These include pull requests from key git repositories such as Bitcoin Core, lnd, c-lightning, Joinmarket, Elements Alpha, and Electrum, as well as insights gleaned from research papers, technical blog posts, IRC logs, network monitors, and more. This comprehensive preparation ensures that our discussions are grounded in the latest developments and technical nuances of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Following an initial period of open dialogue, selected events feature presentations that highlight open source projects, innovative companies, groundbreaking research, and other pertinent content. These presentations are followed by a structured feedback and Q&A session, providing an opportunity for attendees to clarify doubts and dive deeper into the subject matter.
To keep you informed and prepared, we send out a newsletter on the day of the event that outlines the curated discussion topics. Additionally, archives of past discussion topics and presentations are available in our event descriptions. Please note that the discussion segment of the seminar is NEVER recorded, ensuring that the conversation remains candid and unfiltered.
We recommend that participants have a solid grasp of Bitcoin fundamentals to maximize the value of our Socratic events. Come prepared to engage, learn, and contribute to a community that is as passionate about Bitcoin as you are.
