Bitcoin Takeover 2026 is a curated gathering of approximately 200 entrepreneurs, developers, policymakers, and capital allocators who are building the infrastructure for sovereign payments and sound money. United by a mission to restore genuine technological discourse at SXSW, the event seeks to reclaim Austin’s creative and innovative spirit.
Bitcoin Takeover returns in 2026 with an expanded two-day format. Once again held at Bitcoin Park Austin, this year’s event adds a second full day, deepening the focus on how Bitcoin works in practice—from payments to proof of work.
Day 1: Power of Payments
Panels, workshops, and presentations led by builders and operators from the Bitcoin payments ecosystem. Expect real-world insights into adoption, tooling, and what’s working on the ground.
Day 2: Proof of Work
A full day of talks from leaders across Bitcoin and freedom tech, digging into mining, energy, resilience, and the systems that secure the network.
